Duties and Responsibilities

This Individual Contractor is located in the Organizational Development Section (ODS), Strategic Talent Management Service (STMS), Global Strategy and Policy Division (GSPD), Office of Human Resources (OHR), Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC). The Individual Contractor will report to the Staff Development Officer in ODS. ODS is responsible for designing approaches to build a working environment that embraces the widest possible spectrum of diversity and provides an enabling and gender-sensitive workplace. It also builds a culture of engagement, leadership, accountability and result orientation, based on the organizational values and behaviours. With this organization-wide mandate, ODS plays a key role in implementing a wide-breadth of strategic action plan recommendations proposed to shift the culture, policies, accountability mechanism, and practices of the UN Secretariat to address racism and racial discrimination and augment racial diversity and inclusion. Under direct supervision of the Staff Development Officer, the Individual Contractor will work on UN Campus, the new enterprise-level Learning Management System (LMS) for the UN Secretariat. The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Contractor – LMS Technical Support Specialist include: • Support the development and operationalization of UN Campus, including the creation, management, and maintenance of learning content and user access, as part of the rollout and adoption process. • Facilitate seamless adoption of UN Campus by providing customized support for entity onboarding, data migration, and functional feature training. • Support quality assurance activities to promote platform stability and consistent user experience, and synthesize learner and stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement of UN Campus. • Support testing for new features, plugins, and platform updates; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and operational issues. • Explore and test AI‑enabled tools to catalyze enhancements in personalized learning paths, learner engagement, and operational efficiency. • Asses reporting requirements across entities to identify and implement effective data solutions. • Review, create and update user manuals, technical guides, SOPs, and "best practice" guidelines to standardize UN Campus operationalization across the organization. • Perform other related duties within the scope of this assignment, as required.

A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in managing, administering and supporting Moodle Workplace or other Learning Management Systems is required. Experience in learning and development, especially in design and delivery of training, is desirable.

Languages

Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
