The Protection Caseworker role supports the Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) Component 2 under the International Organization for Migration. The incumbent conducts individual protection screenings for migrants upon arrival, identifying vulnerabilities such as GBV survivors, human trafficking victims, and unaccompanied children. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive case management services, coordinating referrals to legal, health, and psychosocial services, and ensuring the delivery of post-arrival assistance with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards. The role requires maintaining accurate data in case management systems like MiMOSA, preparing reports, and participating in local protection coordination forums. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively in challenging conditions. They must demonstrate experience in protection case management within humanitarian or migration contexts, particularly with vulnerable populations.
