UNFPA is hiring a local consultant to conduct a comprehensive technical assessment of 28 health facilities across eight spotlight counties in Liberia, including One Stop Centers, Integrated Health Facilities, and Safe Homes. The role aims to determine material needs and costs for refurbishing or facelifting these sites to ensure they function as secure, trauma-informed environments for survivors of gender-based violence. The consultant will evaluate structural integrity, electrical and plumbing systems, fire and security safety, and accessibility. Key deliverables include a comprehensive report with a costed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and photographic evidence. The assignment requires 11 days of field travel and 5 days of reporting, totaling 16 working days. The ideal candidate possesses an Associate’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of professional experience in structural or facility assessments. Familiarity with Liberia’s Ministry of Health guidelines and strong data analysis and reporting skills are essential. Fluency in English is required. The consultant will work under the guidance of the GBV and Harmful Practices Program Specialist and will be provided with logistical support for field visits.
