About this role
The Research and Communication Intern will support the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) in various research, evaluation, and communication tasks. Key responsibilities include recording and tracking project evaluations, preparing summaries and social media content, supporting portfolio evaluations, and assisting with the implementation of new coding methods for peacebuilding priorities and SDGs. The intern will also support the M&E Peer Support Group by preparing meetings and maintaining a repository of tools and practices. Additional duties involve knowledge management, reporting, and supporting the preparation of communications and meeting notes. The internship is flexible in location (remote/hybrid/in-person) and expected to last 3 months with potential for extension. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Lists and related tools, and fluency in English and French.
Key requirements
- Enrolled in or completed final academic year of first university degree or equivalent
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset
