The Senior Human Rights Officer supports the implementation of the Secretary-General’s Call to Action for Human Rights and advises on human rights matters. Key responsibilities include reviewing human rights reports for quality assurance, formulating human rights strategies with a gender equality perspective, representing the Unit on human rights issues, and managing and supervising other human rights officers or interns. The role requires extensive experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, or law, with a focus on complex reporting and programme management.
