UNICEF is recruiting a national or international consultant to support the Ministry of Health in Lesotho in strengthening the country’s environmental health framework. The primary objective is to review, update, and finalize the National Environmental Health Policy, ensuring it aligns with national priorities, global standards, and emerging challenges such as climate resilience. Additionally, the consultant will develop a comprehensive, costed Environmental Health Strategic Plan for the period 2027–2031. This plan must include priority interventions, implementation arrangements, financing strategies, and a robust monitoring and evaluation framework. The assignment aims to deliver actionable policy and strategic documents that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and relevant global environmental health frameworks. The role requires expertise in policy development, strategic planning, and environmental health, with a focus on integrating climate resilience and sustainable development principles into national health frameworks.
