Accountabilities & functional responsibilities
- Conduct needs assessments and technical surveys to identify project requirements.
- Design and implement infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee procurement processes and manage contractors in compliance with ICRC standards.
- Monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure timely completion.
- Supervise construction activities, conduct commissioning, and facilitate the handover of facilities.
- Train local stakeholders on the operation and maintenance of infrastructure.
- Apply results-based management principles to monitor and evaluate project outcomes.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports using ICRC tools and systems.

- Manages regular (repeatable design already approved by thematic experts) and/or small (consolidated experience in the country) multi-disciplinary projects.
- Supervises project workers activities.
Certifications / Education required
- A university degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in engineering, infrastructure rehabilitation, construction, water and sanitation, or related fields.
- Proven ability to manage small-scale projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Myanmar language.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Previous experience with the ICRC or other humanitarian organizations is a strong advantage.
Professional experience required
