UNDP Bhutan, in partnership with the Haa Dzongkhag Administration, is seeking an intern to support the development of the Haa Dzongkhag Development Strategy. This three-month role, based in Haa, Bhutan, focuses on strengthening local economic development, public service delivery, and community resilience. The intern will assist with research, data collection, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and logistical support. Key responsibilities include compiling background documents, conducting secondary research on local economic and tourism sectors, mapping development opportunities and stakeholders, and supporting stakeholder consultations and workshops. The intern will also help analyze stakeholder inputs, prepare draft strategy sections, and create presentation materials. The role requires strong research, analytical, and writing skills, along with digital literacy. The ideal candidate is enrolled in or has recently graduated with a degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Public Policy, or Development Studies. Fluency in English and spoken Dzongkha is mandatory. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to evidence-based local governance and sustainable development in Bhutan.
