The Programme Management Officer (P3) supports the Regional Commissions New York Office in coordinating, representing, and providing policy advice for the five UN Regional Commissions at the global level. The role focuses on the 2030 Agenda, the Summit of the Future, and related sectoral agendas. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes; monitoring policy debates in UN intergovernmental processes; and preparing written outputs such as background papers and reports. The incumbent provides substantive support to meetings and conferences, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and backstops coordination among Regional Commissions. A significant component involves collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, using data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and conceptual skills, proficiency in data analytics, and experience in project or programme management within international or regional organizations, particularly those supporting intergovernmental processes.
