The Green Climate Fund is seeking a Senior Team Assistant Consultant to provide high-level administrative, managerial, and logistical support to the Department of Communications and the Department of External Relations within the Office of the Chief Strategy and Impact Officer. Based in Incheon, South Korea, this role involves ensuring consistent service delivery, managing the Directors' calendars and travel, and facilitating internal communication. The consultant will act as a focal point for administrative, HR, budget, and procurement matters, while also supporting staff onboarding and training. The ideal candidate demonstrates expert-level proficiency in administrative support, agility in fast-paced environments, and strong managerial advisory skills. They must be able to anticipate needs, maintain high professional standards, and coordinate effectively across teams. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with at least two years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience and logistics management for events or meetings. The Fund seeks to engage a Senior Team Assistant Consultant to carry out the tasks, duties and responsibilities, as detailed below. The consultant will join the GCF team on a site, in person for a over a 5-month period contract.

Role

Under the direction of the Director of Communications and Director of External Relations, the consultant is expected to provide support to two teams within the Office of the Chief Strategy and Impact Officer: the Department of Communications (DCOM) and the Department of External Relations (DER). The consultant should demonstrate proficiency and expert-level skills, including the ability to operate within broader contexts, anticipate needs, and maintain high standards in administrative support while adapting to various demands.

Duties and Responsibilities

The consultant will ensure consistent service delivery and uphold the Fund’s high standards through quality execution of responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Administrative and managerial support

  • Assure constant support to the Departments’ management by ensuring that general administrative, human resources, budget, and procurement related support is provided to the Departments on a timely manner and serve as the Departments’ focal point (in communication with other Offices and Departments) as deemed necessary.
  • Oversee and contribute where applicable to office managerial processes to ensure efficiency, quality assurance, effectiveness, adaptability, and innovation of the Departments’ output in alignment with the
  • Directors’ vision at the administrative level, working closely with the Directors and Senior Staff of the Departments.

2. Managerial advisory, internal communication, staff training, and professional representation

  • Identify and recommend key areas requiring the Directors’ attention in his/her managerial role and communicate messages on behalf of the Directors to the teams and across Offices to ensure smooth internal information flow.
  • Manage the Directors’ calendar and meeting schedules, coordinating effectively to optimize time and priorities.
  • Support the Directors’ mission travel arrangements, ensuring timely preparation and logistical coordination.
  • Train new staff on organizational processes to facilitate proper onboarding and socialization, while exemplifying high professional standards in all internal and external communications.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience in handling logistics for events, workshops, conferences and Board meetings.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a similar office setting preferred; Previous experience supporting larger teams is required;
  • Formal training in secretarial, clerical, administrative, and/or operational services desirable.
  • Good knowledge of office technology such as MS office package, and experience in working with databases is highly desirable.

  • Organizational and Scheduling Skills – Proficiency in managing calendars, meetings, and travel logistics to optimize the Directors’ time and commitments.
  • Training and Capacity Building – Experience in onboarding new staff, transferring knowledge, and reinforcing organizational processes.
  • Professional Representation – Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of professionalism in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
