The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking a Technical Analyst for the Agri-PDB Platform, based in Rome, Italy. This is an entry-level P-2 position on a co-terminus contract, meaning the appointment is limited to the duration of specific project funding, with a maximum total duration of seven years. The role supports the Platform Secretariat in analyzing thematic and policy issues related to Public Development Banks (PDBs) and agroecology. Key responsibilities include contributing to the design and delivery of technical strategies, facilitating working group initiatives, and supporting the implementation of activities linked to the Platform's Working Group on Agroecology. The incumbent will also assist with climate policies, training, and results-based management tools such as impact measurement and KPIs. The position requires supporting the effectiveness and visibility of PDB engagement under the ILSA Programme. The ideal candidate holds an advanced university degree in a relevant field like Agricultural Economics or Rural Development, along with at least two years of professional experience. Proficiency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of French, Spanish, or Arabic is desirable. The role demands strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills to collaborate with technical specialists, country directors, and international partners.
