The incumbent will lead the implementation of project activities, including reviewing existing health surveillance and meteorological data systems, mapping reporting channels, and establishing a national list of climate-sensitive diseases. Key responsibilities involve customizing the CI-EWARS architecture, facilitating the procurement and installation of ICT equipment, and organizing training sessions for stakeholders on integrated communicable disease management. The consultant will also provide continuous technical support for system operationalization, prepare early warning bulletins, and contribute to sustainability recommendations. The role requires close coordination with the WHO Project Management Unit, the Vanuatu Ministry of Health, and the Vanuatu Meteorological and Hydro-Meteorological Services. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in public health, environmental science, or meteorology, along with at least two years of professional experience in public health or climate information systems. Strong skills in data analysis, coordination, and capacity building are essential, as is fluency in English and Bislama.
