Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct field assessments in locations throughout the Lviv Field Unit Area of Responsibility, ensuring rapid identification of urgent needs for emergency interventions and housing solutions projects.
• Proactively identify and flag emerging technical concerns, delays, or risks and suggest the response.
• Coordinate timely procurement, distribution, and monitoring to ensure uninterrupted support to affected populations and program activities.
• Support monitoring of partner implemented shelter interventions to ensure they meaningfully address the needs, safety, and dignity of affected populations, including tracking progress, conducting basic quality assurance, and confirming alignment with agreed technical and humanitarian standards.
• Participate in coordination meetings and technical discussions relevant to shelter programme implementation.
• Participate in the Lviv FU’s coordination on shelter activities, both under direct implementation and via the field partners, with the local and regional authorities.
• Contribute to the preparation of monitoring updates, summaries, and inputs for internal and donor reporting, highlighting progress, challenges, and the humanitarian impact of intervention.
Essential Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Architecture or Construction Engineering (or other related field) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
• Good technical knowledge about construction in Ukraine linked with understanding of Ukrainian Construction legislation;
• Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving;
• Capable to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.) with strong confidence in Excel;
• Capacity to deal with multi-task environment and efficiently contribute to the multi-national team’s work.
• Knowledge of English and Ukrainian languages is required.
• Knowledge and previous experience in the humanitarian sector is highly desirable.
Conditions:
The appointment is for an initial period of six (6) months and is a full-time position with official working hours from Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
