Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Chief, Finance and Domestic Resource Mobilization Section, of the Macroeconomic, Finance and Governance Division, ECA, the Consultant will be responsible for the followings: • Conduct a diagnostic assessment of listing readiness gaps among Ghanaian corporates and SMEs; • Design the structure and progression model for a cohort‑based Accelerator Programme; • Develop a practical curriculum focused on governance, financial reporting, disclosure, capital structuring, and investor relations; • Design a mentorship and advisory framework to support participant firms; • Propose an operational delivery and monitoring framework aligned with GSE listing outcomes.

Qualifications/special skills

- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in capital market development, SME financing, or institutional capacity building; - Proven experience in developing corporate or institutional strategies within the financial sector institutions is required. - Proven experience designing accelerator or issuer‑readiness programmes is required; - Strong knowledge of corporate governance, financial reporting, and capital raising in African markets is desirable. - Experience working with international organizations, development partners, or regional economic bodies is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required.
