UNlockit is a career research and matching tool. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. Use official agency portals for final decisions and applications.
Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using UNlockit you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use UNlockit on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
No affiliation
UNlockit is independent and is not endorsed by, operated by, or affiliated with the United Nations, its agencies, funds, programmes, or any other listed organisation. Agency names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the roles we index. The official agency posting is always the source of truth for eligibility, deadlines, and applications.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Provide accurate registration details, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
The service
Browsing the job feed and hub pages is free. Optional features — saved jobs, email digests, AI Match, and Deep Review — require a free account and, for some, a CV upload. A paid Pro plan unlocks additional AI features described on the Pricing page. We may add, change, or discontinue features over time.
Job information and accuracy
We work to keep job information useful and current, but postings can change, close, or contain errors, and coverage is not exhaustive. Listings are provided "as is" for convenience. Always verify details — eligibility, deadlines, duty station, and how to apply — on the official source before acting, and apply through the agency's own portal.
AI features and matching guidance
AI-assisted extraction, matching, chat, and recruiter-style review are automated decision-support tools. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they are not professional, legal, immigration, or career advice, nor a guarantee of eligibility, shortlisting, selection, or interview outcomes. Use your own judgement and the official posting before relying on any AI output.
Acceptable use
Do not: abuse or disrupt the service; scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site or bypass access controls; resell or redistribute our content without permission; submit false or misleading source information; upload unlawful content or anyone else's personal data without a lawful basis; attempt to access another user's account or data; or use the service to violate any law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
Subscriptions and billing
Pro is a recurring subscription billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price and interval (monthly or yearly) shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise us, via Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal. We never see or store full card details.
Cancellation
You can cancel anytime from the billing dashboard or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account reverts to the free plan. You can also stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Refunds
Except where a refund is required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] and we will review it in good faith.
Price changes
We may change subscription prices or the contents of a plan. Changes take effect on your next renewal, and we will give reasonable prior notice (for example by email) where required. If you do not accept a price change, cancel before it takes effect.
Intellectual property
The UNlockit name, site design, original text, hub structure, and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own job-seeking purposes. Underlying vacancy facts belong to the issuing organisations; our compilation, summaries, and enrichment are ours. You retain ownership of content you upload (such as your CV) and grant us a licence to process it solely to provide the features you use.
Third-party links and services
The service links to and relies on third parties (agency career portals, Stripe, analytics, advertising, and an LLM provider). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party sites and services, which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that job data is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNlockit and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, missed deadlines, or job outcomes, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UNlockit and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms or of any applicable law or third-party right.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, to protect the service or other users, or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, announced in-product or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there for any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you additional rights.
