Description
Under the direction of Director of the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI), the Field Operations Section (FOS) is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and closure of Technical Assistance (TA) and Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. It drafts agreements and aids in creating country-specific and regional projects and programs by identifying priority areas, developing objectives, activities, and deliverables, setting timelines, and specifying budgetary requirements.
Additionally, under the direction of the CDI Director, the Field Personnel Section (FPS/FRU) recruits international experts to implement Capacity Development and Implementation projects across various Civil Aviation fields and manages the ICAO Roster of Experts.
Review aeronautical fees and charges and other revenue-generating sources at airport; review the existing commercial revenue projections included in the master plan update.
Define the future strategy for commercial areas inside the passenger terminal area that will maximize the commercial revenues taking into account the current situation. The future commercial strategy should review aspects such as:
- Type of commercial offer that best suits the passenger profiles.
- Commercial mix and proposed retail.
- Definition of commercial areas in terminal building layout: size, location, nature.
- Fees, canons and other duties that airport authority should apply on tenants.
Prepare conceptual planning sketches for the organization (or the reorganization) of the commercial areas /concessions at airport. Indicate the requirements for the future commercial areas.
Define the guidelines under which the new commercial areas should be developed: by the airport; under one or several main developers; recommendations on concession and rental schemes (terms, duration, etc.)
Provide new commercial revenue projections for airport resulting from the implementation of the proposed commercial strategy.
Prepare a site visit report, indicating the findings with regards to the existing and future commercial areas of airport.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
