UNICEF Angola is seeking a National Consultant to support the Ministry of Education in addressing a severe learning crisis in the Huila and Cunene provinces. The role focuses on the quality implementation of Accelerated Instructional Classes (AIC) and Community Family Schools (CFS), alongside a new 'Libraries without Walls' component. The consultant will coordinate with local education authorities, monitor program implementation, manage data, and document results and lessons learned. The UNICEF Angola Country Office is supporting the Ministry of Education (MED) to address a persistent learning crisis, characterized by a high proportion of children out of the school system, low foundational learning outcomes, high rates of overage learners, and persistent inequities in access to quality education. Many children progress through the system without acquiring basic literacy and numeracy skills, particularly those from the most disadvantaged backgrounds.
