Organizational Context and Scope

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, the direct supervision of the Head of the Integration Unit, the Senior Protection Associate will support programme activities for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs) in Ireland.
This role will directly supervise a team of four Caseworkers and two Project Associates, supporting the delivery of two workstreams focused on protection-related activities and transition assistance to BOTPs in Ireland. The position will also collaborate with additional workstreams to support alignment and effective use of synergies. The role will include other programme-related responsibilities as required.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of project activities aiming to support BOTP’s in Ireland in line with the project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Supervise and train Caseworkers in the delivery of individualised casework including undertaking vulnerability and needs assessments and the provision of onward support for BOTP’s in emergency accommodation settings.
- Supervise Project Associates while supporting concurrent workstreams, contributing to the coordination and alignment of project activities and outcomes. Coordinate the effective implementation of SOPs in the field and provide technical support to workstreams, as required.
- Build the capacity of Project Associates and Caseworkers to implement activities efficiently and effectively, and in line with project SOPs.
- Supervise day-to-day activities and support smooth and efficient operations, including liaising with the donor and other relevant stakeholders, as well as coordinating logistical and administrative support, as requested.
- Support the Mission in drafting processes and procedures to maintain data accuracy for all records in IOM internal software platforms and contribute to periodic reporting on project results in line with donor requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of all project-related matters in accordance with guidelines and instructions. Support efforts to mitigate fraud and malfeasance, and monitor the integrity of records containing individual data.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
Educatio
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or,
- High school diploma with seven years relevant professional experience

Experience
- Proven experience in a similar setting and capacity, particularly with protection-related casework support.
- Experience supervising a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, and good knowledge of information technology applications.
- Previous work experience in international, governmental or non-governmental organizations.
Project support and coordination experience would be considered an advantage.

- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with an attention to detail.
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian would be an asset, along with any other official IOM language.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
