This flagship program aims to help 300 million farmers transition from subsistence to surplus by strengthening cooperatives, improving market links, and enhancing access to finance and digital tools. The intern will assist in designing and implementing AgriConnect across the Europe region. Key responsibilities include conducting sector and solutions research on agri-food trends and value chains; supporting the validation of country-level Joint Implementation Plans by consolidating feedback and tracking milestones; maintaining stakeholder maps across IBRD/IDA, IFC, and MIGA to coordinate activities and identify gaps; and coordinating launch events and stakeholder meetings. The role also involves drafting briefing materials, presentations, and knowledge products. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s, PhD, or advanced undergraduate program in agricultural economics, development economics, business administration, international development, or a related field. They should possess strong analytical, research, and writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication abilities in English. Knowledge of regional languages like Ukrainian or Romanian is advantageous. This is a no-fee internship offering hands-on experience in global development.
