What You’ll Do
- Support testing of failover, recovery, and degraded-mode scenarios to validate application resilience.
- Execute and document IT service continuity and disaster recovery exercises.
- Record, analyse, and track test outcomes from resilience and incident simulation activities.
- Prepare and maintain test data, evidence, and traceability for resilience testing initiatives.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and product teams to improve service resilience and recovery capabilities.
- Flexibility to support testing activities during planned change windows, including occasional work outside normal business hours, with additional time worked compensated through equivalent time off.
- Contribute to risk and resilience discussions, helping identify opportunities to strengthen critical business services.
- Support continuous improvement of resilience testing processes, documentation, and quality standards.
- Build knowledge of industry regulations and frameworks that underpin operational resilience.
Need to Have — Your Essentials
- Strong interest in Quality Engineering, Digital Resilience, Business Continuity, or Disaster Recovery.
- Experience executing structured test cases and documenting results with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and working within sprint teams.
- Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or similar QA platforms.
- Understanding of testing principles for IT system migrations and quality assurance best practices.
- Awareness of non-functional testing considerations, including security, accessibility, and data privacy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and resilience engineering practices.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent QA knowledge).
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, service continuity, or operational resilience testing.
- Familiarity with resilience testing scenarios such as failover, recovery, and degraded operations.
