About this role
The UNRWA Data Cleaning & Quality Assurance Consultant will support the Relief and Social Services Department's Digital Archiving and AI-enabled document processing programme. The role involves preparing datasets by cleaning, validating, and standardizing data to ensure reliability and usability for digitizing historical refugee registration records. Responsibilities include reviewing raw datasets for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting duplicates and inconsistencies, standardizing naming conventions and classifications, collaborating on dataset compatibility, performing quality assurance checks, and documenting procedures. The consultant must work with Excel, CSV, and shapefile formats while ensuring data integrity for integration into Microsoft Azure-based systems.
Key requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, statistics, information management, public administration, international development, humanitarian affairs, or related field
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in data management, data review, quality assurance, reporting, or administrative support functions
