The Director of Mission Support (DMS) leads the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), reporting directly to the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of Mission (HoM). The DMS provides strategic oversight and management of administrative, financial, contractual, and technical support functions, ensuring effective use of human, financial, and physical resources to support the mission's mandate. Key responsibilities include managing budget, finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain, and information systems; leading strategic planning and transition initiatives; coordinating with UN headquarters and stakeholders; and ensuring compliance with UN regulations and policies. The role requires extensive experience in complex field operations, particularly in conflict and post-conflict environments, with a proven track record in leadership, change management, and cross-functional team management.
