The Project Management Assistant is a locally recruited individual contractor based in Pristina, Kosovo, reporting to the Special Assistant to the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) within the Office of the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (ODSRSG) at the United Nations Interim Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK). The role focuses on supporting the establishment and operationalization of a Project Management Office (PMO) Cell. Key responsibilities include providing operational, administrative, and programmatic support for the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of programme and project activities. The assistant will help develop PMO workstreams, systems, and reporting mechanisms to enhance project oversight. Duties involve monitoring UMOJA-related processes, tracking project funds, ensuring compliance with financial requirements, and managing data collection and analysis. The position also requires maintaining organized records, preparing reports and briefings, and facilitating issue resolution. The ideal candidate possesses strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and enterprise systems like Umoja, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. The role demands the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multi-stakeholder environment. This is a short-term contract with an initial duration of three months, subject to extension.
