The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking an IT Operations Associate (SC6) based in Dollo Ado, Ethiopia, to coordinate and guide IT maintenance and support activities. The role involves ensuring effective IT service delivery through system and hardware maintenance, network monitoring, and telecommunications coordination. Key responsibilities include monitoring technology reliability, analyzing data to recommend IT solutions, resolving user queries independently, and providing technical training to end-users and junior colleagues. The incumbent will also support new application implementations, draft technical documentation, and coordinate a team of IT staff to meet objectives. The position requires following emergency response processes to support food assistance operations. The ideal candidate possesses six or more years of progressively responsible work experience in IT, with solid expertise in digital solutions and data management. A post-secondary IT certificate is desirable. The role demands fluency in English and, as a desirable asset, fluency in Somali. This is a 12-month service contract within the TEC unit, reporting to the Head of the field office or Unit Head.
